Obverse description Dark grey and green intaglio-printed note with a central vignette of a seated allegorical female figure of Liberty holding a staff, resting beside a fasces inscribed LIBERTAD and the Peruvian shield, all within an engine-turned oval frame. Denomination numerals "100" appear in ornate guilloche rosettes to the left and right, with red serial numbers and series designation printed above; the issuing bank's title runs across the top in a curved banderole, and the printer's imprint "Thomas De La Rue & Co Ltd" appears at the foot. Place of issue LIMA and the date are printed in the lower margin flanking the denomination legend.
Obverse lettering EL BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERU PAGARA AL PORTADOR CIEN SOLES DE ORO
(Translation: The Central Reserve Bank of Peru will pay to the bearer Cien Soles de Oro.)
Reverse description Printed entirely in orange-brown on a cream ground, the reverse carries the Peruvian national coat of arms within a circular guilloche vignette at centre, flanked by two large star-shaped lathe-work rosettes each bearing the numeral "100". The denomination legend CIEN SOLES DE ORO runs along the lower border in bold letterpress, while the bank title BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERU is set in a decorative panel across the top. The overall design is executed in fine engine-turned geometric underprint without additional pictorial elements.
