正面描述 The obverse is dominated by a central vignette of a bull standing in a pastoral landscape, flanked on the left by an allegorical group of a woman with children and on the right by a portrait vignette of an indigenous woman. The bank title LA SUCURSAL EN TACNA DE BANCO NACIONAL DEL PERÚ arches across the upper portion, with the denomination numeral 100 appearing in the lower left and right corners. The text CIEN SOLES is rendered in bold letterpress across the centre, below which appears the promise-to-pay legend and the branch designation TACNA, with signature lines for the Director and Gerente de la Sucursal at the foot.

备注

The Banco Nacional del Perú was a private institution that operated in the 1870s and 1880s, one of several competing commercial banks authorized to issue notes during Peru's brief experiment with free banking before the War of the Pacific destroyed the country's financial infrastructure. The Tacna branch designation is significant: Tacna was occupied by Chile from 1880 and not returned to Peru until 1929, meaning any notes bearing that branch imprint had an exceptionally narrow window of legitimate circulation before the occupation made them effectively stranded instruments.

Pick 335 is poorly documented in terms of surviving population. The war wiped out most Peruvian bank records from this period.
