Obverse description The national coat of arms of Uganda is displayed prominently in the centre of the obverse field, featuring a kob antelope and a grey crowned crane as supporters flanking a central shield adorned with a drum and the River Nile, all above a green mound with the national motto on a scroll below. The legend BANK OF UGANDA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 100 SHILLINGS is inscribed along the lower rim. The date 2010 is divided on either side of the central device, with '20' to the left and '10' to the right. The design is executed in high relief against a polished mirror field consistent with proof-quality production.
