Obverse description The national coat of arms of Uganda occupies the central field, depicting a shield supported by a Uganda kob (antelope) to the left and a grey crowned crane to the right, with a sun motif at the centre of the shield and a scroll below bearing the national motto. The denomination '100 SHILLINGS' is inscribed along the lower rim, and the curved legend 'BANK OF UGANDA' arcs across the upper field. A continuous beaded border encircles the entire design.
