Obverse description	Central field bears the Somali national coat of arms, depicting a shield charged with a five-pointed star above horizontal lines, supported on either side by two leopards rampant standing on a base of crossed palm fronds and a ribbon scroll. The date is split to either side of the supporters, '20' at left and '23' at right. The legend 'SOMALI REPUBLIC' arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, while the denomination '100 SHILLINGS' is inscribed along the lower periphery. The design is framed by a fine beaded border.
