| 正面描述 | At center, the Somali Coat of Arms is depicted, featuring an azure shield with a white five-pointed star, supported by two leopards and surmounted by a white star, with palm fronds at the base. The date is split across either side of the central arms, reading '20' to the left and '19' to the right. The legend 'SOMALI REPUBLIC' arcs along the upper periphery, while the face value '100 SHILLINGS' is inscribed along the lower border. All lettering appears in Latin script within a plain field. |

Somalia's elephant bullion series, running since 1999, operates under a licensing arrangement that has never involved the Somali government in any meaningful monetary capacity — the coins are produced and marketed entirely by the German firm Geiger Edelmetalle. The Chicago ANA privy mark places this piece at the American Numismatic Association's 2019 World's Fair of Money, held in Rosemont, Illinois in August of that year.
Annual design changes across the elephant series drive collector demand in ways that pure bullion coins rarely achieve. The ANA privy further restricts mintage beyond the standard issue, though Geiger has not always published precise figures for privy-marked variants.
