| 背面描述 | A large African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana) is depicted in high relief, striding powerfully toward the viewer's right and dominating the central field. In the left background, a savanna landscape is rendered with acacia trees and a small elephant visible in the distance, with birds in flight above the horizon. The design is set within a raised inner circle, with the legend 'AFRICAN WILDLIFE' arcing along the upper border and 'ELEPHANT' inscribed along the lower border, flanked by raised dots. The fineness and weight designation '1 oz Ag 999' appears vertically along the right inner border. |

Somalia's elephant bullion series, launched in the early 2000s, was never a product of the Somali government in any functional sense — the country had no operative central bank during most of this period. The coins were produced and marketed by private European minting interests, principally through a licensing arrangement, with "Somalia" serving largely as a nominal issuing authority on the legal paperwork.
The series gained a collector following partly because annual design changes kept it fresh against static competitors. The 2010 issue is KM#221 in the Krause listings, though attribution across this series has been inconsistently documented.
