Obverse description The national coat of arms of Uganda is displayed centrally in the field, featuring a shield supported by a Kob antelope to the left and a Grey Crowned Crane to the right, set upon a grassy mound with the national motto on a scroll below. The issuer legend BANK OF UGANDA arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination 100 SHILLINGS inscribed along the lower periphery. The date is divided either side of the central device, reading 20 to the left and 10 to the right. The overall design is rendered in a polished proof-like finish with frosted relief devices.
