The issuer legend BANK OF UGANDA arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination 100 SHILLINGS inscribed along the lower periphery. Additional information

Uganda's wildlife coin programs of the late 2000s and early 2010s were largely produced by the Bavarian State Mint and similar European contract minters for the collector market — these pieces saw no meaningful circulation in Uganda itself. The series was distributed almost exclusively through wholesale numismatic dealers in Europe and North America.

Silver-plated copper-nickel at this size is a format associated with budget-tier novelty issues of the period, and KM#341 fits squarely in that category.
