备注

The P#42 series ran through the mid-2000s under a single signature authority — Nahashon Nyagah, who served as CBK Governor from 2003 to 2010. That unusually long tenure for a Kenyan governor means his signature appears across virtually the entire production run of this issue, giving the series a consistency rare for the period.

Thomas De La Rue supplied Kenya through much of the post-independence decades, and this note continued that relationship. The watermark remains the primary security feature — modest by the standards of contemporary regional issues, which accelerated pressure toward the more heavily secured 2010 polymer and enhanced paper series that followed.
