备注

Austria's final Schilling series was designed and printed domestically by the Oesterreichische Banknoten- und Sicherheitsdruck GmbH — the OeBS — a subsidiary of the Nationalbank itself, making this one of the few European issues of the period produced entirely in-house rather than contracted to Bradbury Wilkinson, De La Rue, or comparable security printers. The 100 Schilling entered circulation in 1995, just seven years before the Schilling was permanently replaced by the Euro on 1 January 2002, with the final legal tender deadline set for 28 February 2002.

Withdrawn Schilling notes of this series remain redeemable at the Oesterreichische Nationalbank indefinitely — no expiry applies — which is unusual by European standards and a matter of Austrian law.
