Pick S711 is a regional emergency issue, not a standard Bank Indonesia series note. The "S" prefix in the Pick catalogue denotes a sub-national or locally authorized instrument — in Indonesia's case, these regional issues emerged from the chaotic monetary fragmentation of the late 1950s, when central authority over currency circulation was genuinely contested in parts of the outer islands.
