Opmerkingen

Perum Peruri — the state security printing firm formally established in 1971 — had by 1977 developed sufficient capacity to handle Indonesia's full domestic note production, and this 100 Rupiah is among the earlier issues printed entirely in-house without European contractor involvement. The infrastructure shift was deliberate government policy following years of reliance on foreign printers during the Sukarno and early Suharto periods.

Pick 116 is a common note. Heavily circulated examples dominate the market, which is expected for a low-denomination note in daily use during a period of persistent inflation that steadily eroded its purchasing power through the late 1970s and into the 1980s.
