Obverse description The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, is depicted centrally in the field, showing three lions upon an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra. Immediately below the emblem, the national motto in Devanagari script reads 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate). The country name 'भारत' appears along the left arc and 'INDIA' along the right arc in large raised letters. The face value '₹100', incorporating the Rupee symbol, is prominently displayed in the lower field in both Devanagari-style and numeral characters.
