Obverse description The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, is depicted in high relief at the center of the obverse, showing three lions atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra flanked by a bull and horse in relief. The state motto 'Satyameva Jayate' (Truth Alone Triumphs) is inscribed in Devanagari script below the emblem. The denomination '100' appears in large numerals in the lower field, with 'RUPEES' arcing along the right periphery in Latin script and 'रुपये' arcing along the left periphery in Devanagari script. 'INDIA' arcs along the upper right rim in Latin script and 'भारत' along the upper left rim in Devanagari script.
