Issued to commemorate the Nepal Philatelic Society, this coin carries an error in its date — a comparatively rare production mistake for the Nepal Rastra Bank, which has maintained tight minting controls through its primary supplier, the Royal Mint and later the Korean Minting and Security Printing Corporation. The specific nature of the date error on KM# 127 has been documented by collectors but never officially acknowledged by the issuing authority.
