Reverse description The reverse depicts a detailed engraving of the SS Komagata Maru, a Japanese steamship, shown sailing at sea with masts, rigging, funnel, and an anchor visible at the bow. The ship's name 'KOMAGATA MARU' is inscribed on the hull. Surrounding the central motif, the legend 'CENTENARY COMMEMORATION' arcs along the left periphery, and 'KOMAGATA MARU INCIDENT' is inscribed along the lower periphery, both in Latin script. The Devanagari legend 'शताब्दी स्मरणोत्सव' arcs along the upper right and 'कोमागातामारु प्रसंग' appears along the right periphery. The date range '1914-2014' is inscribed vertically on the right side of the field, and a small mint mark appears at the bottom of the field.
