| Reverse description | At centre, the heraldic shield of the University of Delhi rendered in high relief, featuring an open book at the top, wavy lines representing the Yamuna River in the middle, and a walking elephant below, all enclosed within an ornate foliate border. Surrounding the central device, a raised inner legend band bears the inscriptions 'UNIVERSITY OF DELHI' and 'विश्वविद्यालय' in Latin and Devanagari script respectively, along with the university motto 'निष्ठा धृतिः सत्यम्' in Sanskrit.
