Obverse description Central field bears the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, depicted in high relief with three lions visible above an abacus featuring a horse, bull, and elephant flanking a central Dharma Chakra. Below the emblem, the motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth alone triumphs') is inscribed in Devanagari script. The country name appears in a large arc to the left in Devanagari ('भारत') and to the right in Latin ('INDIA'). The denomination '₹100' is prominently displayed in the lower field.
