Obverse description The Indian State Emblem — the Lion Capital of Ashoka — is depicted centrally in the field, showing three lions passant atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra and flanking animals in relief. Immediately below the emblem, the national motto सत्यमेव जयते (Satyameva Jayate) is inscribed in Devanagari script. The denomination ₹100 appears in large numerals at the base of the field, preceded by the Rupee symbol. The legend भारत to the left and INDIA to the right arc along the coin's periphery in Devanagari and Latin scripts respectively.
