Obverse description The central vignette presents the Himalayan massif of Nuptse, Qomolungma (Mount Everest), and Lhotse rising above the five-tiered Nyatapola Temple of Bhaktapur, flanked by flying Apsaras and the deity Indra, all set over a multicolour guilloche underprint. A coin vignette is positioned at lower right, with Devanagari inscriptions identifying the issuing authority and denomination. The overall composition is rendered in intaglio against warm tones characteristic of the series.
