| Opmerkingen |
Pick 36 was issued during Zia ul-Haq's military government, a period when Pakistan's currency design and printing arrangements were being consolidated under State Bank supervision following earlier reliance on Thomas De La Rue. The 100-rupee denomination was the highest in common circulation during this stretch, before the 500-rupee note entered regular production later in the decade.
A security thread was not yet incorporated — the watermark remains the sole embedded security feature, a relatively light specification for a high-value note by early 1980s standards. Ink offsetting on the reverse is a known characteristic of the series.
