This 1972 issue falls within the reign of King Mahendra, who had dissolved Nepal's elected parliament in 1960 and governed under direct royal rule — a political arrangement that shaped the iconography of Nepalese currency throughout the decade. P#19 is not a note that presents significant collecting complications, though the single watermark security feature is minimal by De La Rue's own standards of the period.
