Obverse description Printed in shades of red and pink, the obverse carries the Central Bank of Ceylon title in English, Sinhala, and Tamil at the top, beneath the Sri Lanka Maha Lankawa (lion) device at upper left. To the right, a vignette of Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike with raised hand is set against a plain field, with the denomination numeral 100 repeated at upper left, lower left, and lower right corners. The date 1970-10-26 and two manuscript signatures appear in the central panel, with the denomination spelled out in Sinhala, Tamil, and English along the lower margin.
