| 备注 |
Pick 62 spans the tenures of two governors whose economic mandates couldn't have been more different. Bhattacharya signed during a period of severe import compression following the 1962 Sino-Indian War, when foreign exchange reserves were under serious strain and the rupee's external convertibility was effectively a fiction. L. K. Jha took over in 1967, the year after the devaluation that slashed the rupee's value by 36.5 percent against the dollar — one of the most politically painful monetary decisions independent India had made to that point.
Notes signed by Jha from the later years of this range occasionally show ink adhesion irregularities attributed to humidity during storage at regional currency chests in the northeast.
