Obverse description Purple and olive-green note with an intaglio portrait of King George V in uniform within an oval vignette at right, and a second blank oval vignette at left serving as a watermark area. The central text panel carries the promise-to-pay inscription for the Government of India, with the denomination spelled out in full. A red overprint legend appears at the top, and the issuing office RANGOON is printed above centre; the note bears a manuscript signature at lower right.
