| Obverse description | The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, is depicted prominently in the center of the field, rendered in relief against a mirror-polished background. Below the capital, the Devanagari inscription 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth Alone Triumphs') appears in the lower center field. The denomination '100' is inscribed in large numerals at the bottom, flanked by 'RUPEES' in Latin script along the right rim and 'INDIA' along the upper right rim. Bilingual legends in Devanagari script ('भारत' and '100 रुपये') arc along the left side of the coin. |
