Obverse description The State Emblem of India — the Lion Capital of Ashoka — occupies the central field, rendered in fine relief atop its characteristic abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra. The national motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate) is inscribed in Devanagari script beneath the emblem. The denomination '₹100' appears in the lower field in large numerals. The bilingual country name 'भारत' in Devanagari and 'INDIA' in Latin script flank the central device along the left and right periphery respectively, following the standard format of Indian commemorative coinage.
