| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a lavishly detailed scene from the grand ball in the final act of Tchaikovsky's ballet, depicting elegantly costumed figures in dynamic poses. A decorative floral ornament runs along the lower portion of the field, framing the composition. The legend 'СПЯЩАЯ КРАСАВИЦА' (THE SLEEPING BEAUTY) curves along the rim from left to right, identifying the ballet theme in relief Cyrillic lettering. |

Issued as part of Russia's ambitious "Skazki Narodov Mira" (Tales of the World's Peoples) series, this kilo silver piece was among the largest and most technically demanding coins the Moscow Mint produced in the post-Soviet period. The sheer mass required careful annealing cycles to prevent stress fractures in the planchet during striking — a genuine production challenge at this diameter and weight. Mintage was limited to 1,500 pieces.
