| Opis awersu | The obverse bears the state coat of arms of Transnistria centrally positioned in the field, depicting a stylised Soviet-influenced emblem featuring a hammer and sickle, a five-pointed star at the apex, sheaves of wheat, a factory, a river, and grape clusters below, all enclosed within a wreath. The issuer's name ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКИЙ РЕСПУБЛИКАНСКИЙ БАНК is inscribed in Cyrillic along the upper periphery. The denomination 100 РУБЛЕЙ appears in the lower legend flanking a central dot, with the date 2005 and the fineness designation Ag 925 situated in the lower field. |

Transnistria — the narrow strip of territory between the Dniester River and the Ukrainian border — declared independence from Moldova in 1990 but remains unrecognized by any United Nations member state. The Transnistrian Republican Bank issues collector coinage partly as a revenue mechanism and partly as an assertion of institutional legitimacy that diplomatic channels have never granted. This zodiac series piece from 2005 belongs to that effort.
