| Obverse description | The obverse features the state coat of arms of Transnistria (Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic) centrally positioned in the field, depicting a Soviet-style emblem comprising wheat sheaves, a hammer and sickle surmounted by a five-pointed star, with the inscription 'ПМР' on flanking ribbons and 'РМН' on a lower scroll. The mint mark of the Moscow Mint appears to the lower left of the coat of arms, alongside the fineness mark 'Ag 925' to the right. The circular legend 'ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКИЙ РЕСПУБЛИКАНСКИЙ БАНК' arcs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic characters, while the denomination '100 РУБЛЕЙ' and the date '2005' appear along the lower portion of the field, separated by bullet points. |

| Additional information |
Transnistria — the narrow strip between the Dniester River and the Ukrainian border — declared independence from Moldova in 1990, a separation backed by Russian military presence and never recognized by any United Nations member state. Its coins are legal tender within a territory that most of the world officially considers nonexistent. The Republican Bank has issued collector silver almost continuously since the mid-1990s, partly as a revenue mechanism given the republic's extreme fiscal constraints.
This zodiac piece is one of twelve in the 2005 series. None circulated in any practical sense.
