Reverse description The reverse displays the municipal coat of arms of Rybnitsa within a heraldic shield at centre, depicting the Archangel Michael in full figure, armoured and winged, holding a spear in his right hand and a shield in his left, set against a divided background. Decorative foliate scroll ornaments flank the shield on either side. The Cyrillic legend 'РЫБНИЦА' arcs prominently across the upper field, and the founding year '1628' is inscribed at the base of the shield, all rendered against a deeply mirrored prooflike field.

Additional information

Transnistria issued this piece through its Republican Bank, an institution unrecognized by any sovereign state — including Russia, whose political backing keeps the breakaway territory functional. The Rybnitsa series commemorates the city on the Dniester's eastern bank, home to a Soviet-era steel mill that remains the economic spine of the entire unrecognized republic. Transnistrian commemorative silver issues circulate almost exclusively as collector pieces; the de facto currency in daily use remains the Transnistrian rouble in banknote form.

KM#96 is one of several 2007 issues sharing the same specification, each dedicated to a different city within the territory's borders.
