| 正面描述 | At center, the coat of arms of Transnistria rendered in high relief, depicting a Soviet-style emblem composed of a hammer and sickle surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by sheaves of wheat and corn, with a ribbon bearing the Cyrillic initials ПМР (PMR). The circular legend ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКИЙ РЕСПУБЛИКАНСКИЙ БАНК runs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic characters, while the denomination 100 РУБЛЕЙ and the date 2004 are inscribed along the lower field, separated by raised dot punctuation. The mirrored proof-like fields provide strong contrast against the frosted relief elements. |

Transnistria's wildlife silver series, of which this roe deer issue is a part, was produced during a period when the unrecognized breakaway republic was actively minting collector coinage as a soft-power maneuver — numismatic legitimacy standing in for the diplomatic kind it couldn't obtain. No UN member state recognizes Transnistrian sovereignty, yet the Transnistrian Republican Bank has issued a full catalog of legal tender since the early 1990s.
KM#44 is collectible precisely because of that political ambiguity. Distribution was limited and largely handled through specialist dealers rather than any conventional banking channel.
