A caterpillar is depicted crawling along a flower stalk in the lower field, completing the lifecycle motif. Additional information

Transnistria — the narrow strip of land between the Dniester River and the Ukrainian border that declared independence from Moldova in 1990 but remains unrecognized by any United Nations member state — issues coins through its Republican Bank as an assertion of administrative autonomy rather than from any internationally sanctioned monetary authority. Its collector series, including this butterfly issue, circulate almost exclusively in the numismatic market rather than through any genuine commercial exchange.

The dual KM reference reflects a cataloging correction between editions, not a genuine variety.
