Belarus issued this coin under its "Human" series, a program exploring philosophical themes that the National Bank launched as part of a broader push into large-format collector silver following the country's 2016 monetary reform, which redenominated the ruble at a ratio of 10,000 to 1. The reform effectively reset public trust in the currency, and prestige collector issues have since served partly to rehabilitate the National Bank's image among domestic savers.
