Obverse description At centre, the official emblem of the Bank of Russia — a double-headed eagle with wings lowered — is displayed within a beaded border. The semicircular legend БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) curves beneath the eagle. Along the upper rim runs the denomination legend СТО РУБЛЕЙ (One Hundred Roubles), while the year of issue 2004 appears along the lower rim. To the left of the central device, the metal designation and fineness (Ag 900) are inscribed; to the right, the fine metal content (1 КГ) and the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram СПМД are struck.
