| 裏面の説明 | The reverse features conjoined busts of the three Apollo XI astronauts — Michael Collins, Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin — arranged in portrait style with their surnames engraved beneath each respective effigy: 'M. COLLINS', 'N. ARMSTRONG', and 'E. ALDRIN'. A crescent moon and stars occupy the upper field, evoking the lunar mission theme. The bilingual legend 'MOON 1969' in Latin script and 'القَمر ١٩٦٩' in Arabic appears at the upper left, commemorating the historic first crewed lunar landing of July 1969. |

Fujairah was among the smallest and least resourced of the Trucial States, and its 1969 commemorative issues were produced almost entirely for the international collector market rather than any domestic monetary function. The Apollo 11 mission generated an extraordinary volume of commemorative coinage worldwide, but Fujairah's gold issues are notable for being authorized before the emirate had even formally joined what would become the UAE — that union was still two years away.
Fr#2 places this among the earliest documented gold issues attributed to Fujairah, struck by a European contract mint for export.
