| Obverse description | Central field displays the Coat of Arms of Fujairah, flanked by two flags each bearing the Arabic legend 'Al Fujairah' — appearing normally on the left flag and mirrored on the right. The state title 'STATE OF FUJAIRAH' is rendered in Latin script along the upper legend, with the Arabic equivalent 'حُكومَة الفجَيرة' also present. The denomination '100 RIYALS' appears in both Arabic and Latin script, accompanied by the date in both Gregorian (1969) and Hijri (1388) calendars. A small oval cartouche in the lower right field indicates the gold fineness '900'. |

| Additional information |
Fujairah was among the smallest and least resourced of the Trucial States, and its 1969 commemorative issues were produced almost entirely for the international collector market rather than any domestic monetary function. The Apollo 11 mission generated an extraordinary volume of commemorative coinage worldwide, but Fujairah's gold issues are notable for being authorized before the emirate had even formally joined what would become the UAE — that union was still two years away.
Fr#2 places this among the earliest documented gold issues attributed to Fujairah, struck by a European contract mint for export.
