The obverse is dominated by an intricate arabesque guilloche underprint in multicolour tones, overlaid with a large diamond-shaped vignette at centre. At upper left, a holographic foil patch bears the numeral 100; adjacent to it rises a stylised minaret tower vignette. To the right, a traditional dhow sailing past palm trees forms a secondary vignette. The Arabic denomination مائة ريال appears in large script at centre, with the issuer's name in Arabic calligraphy across the top and two facsimile signatures below with their respective titles. |

The reverse presents a vignette at left of a domed mosque with minaret in the foreground and the Al-Shaqab institute building rising behind it, rendered in purple intaglio. A vertical security strip at centre carries repeating microprint numerals 100 and palm-and-dhow motifs. The right half is filled with fine geometric guilloche latticework in muted lavender and grey tones, with an ornamental floral rosette at centre-right. Denominations in green numerals 100 appear at upper right and lower left, with the English legend One Hundred Riyals at lower right. |
