| Obverse description | Brown letterpress on a light brown underprint, the note is framed by a dense guilloche border enclosing a central text panel bearing the large denomination legend CEM RÉIS flanked by the word BRONZE on each side. The Portuguese Royal Coat of Arms appears as a vignette at both the left and right within rectangular frames inscribed 100 REIS. Below the central denomination, the issue date is rendered in script followed by a manuscript Director's signature and series designation at lower right. |
