Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborately calligraphed tughra of Sultan Abdul Hamid II, rendered in high relief with the characteristic triple vertical shafts (tuğ) rising above the interlaced monogram. A decorative floral spray with blossoms and buds appears to the right of the tughra. The denomination in Arabic numerals and script, reading 100 Qirsh, is inscribed in the lower field below the tughra. The coin is encircled by a finely milled border.
