Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse presents a bold, ornamental design executed in Kufic calligraphic script, with the Arabic legend 'جمهورية مصر العربية' (Arab Republic of Egypt) rendered in interlacing decorative strokes that fill the central field. The denomination '100 POUNDS' in Latin characters appears to the left, with its Arabic equivalent '١٠٠ جنيه' to the right, flanking a stylized central motif of Pharaonic torch elements. The date '1988' in Western numerals and '١٩٨٨' in Eastern Arabic numerals are inscribed at the upper field on either side. The abbreviation 'A.R.E.' appears in the lower exergue, and the entire design is bordered by a continuous beaded inner rim.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse depicts Pharaoh Ramses II standing erect in a two-wheeled war chariot, drawn by a single galloping horse shown in dynamic profile facing right. The Pharaoh, wearing the Blue War Crown (Khepresh) and traditional royal garments, draws a fully tensioned composite bow, with a quiver of arrows visible behind him. The composition is rendered in a flat, low-relief style closely inspired by ancient Egyptian temple wall reliefs, most notably those commemorating the Battle of Kadesh. The figures are set above a ground line, with no inscriptions in the field, allowing the dramatic martial scene to dominate. The design is framed by a continuous beaded border.
