| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse depicts the iconic domed building of the Faculty of Law at Cairo University rendered in relief as the central design element, dominating the field. Above the dome, the Arabic legend 'كلية الحقوق - جامعة القاهرة' (Faculty of Law - Cairo University) arcs along the upper portion of the field. To the right of the dome, the scales of justice are depicted in relief, with the foundation and commemorative dates '1868' and '2018' inscribed below them. The large Arabic numeral '150' appears prominently to the left, emphasizing the sesquicentennial occasion. The design is enclosed by a reeded outer border. |

Cairo University's Faculty of Law, founded in 1906, was the first modern law school in Egypt and produced a disproportionate share of the country's twentieth-century political class — Boutros Boutros-Ghali among its alumni. Egypt's commemorative pound series in silver at .720 fineness reflects a long-standing domestic standard kept well below sterling, a deliberate cost-control decision that has defined the Central Bank's commemorative program for decades.
