| 背面描述 | The reverse features a bold and highly detailed depiction of the Seymour Panther, a celebrated heraldic beast associated with Jane Seymour, third queen consort of King Henry VIII, rendered by engraver David Lawrence. The panther is shown sejant, its spotted body turned three-quarters left with head facing forward and jaws open in a heraldic roar, while its forelegs clasp a decorated shield bearing heraldic imagery. The long, curved tail arches gracefully behind the creature, and fine spotted markings adorn the body throughout. The legend SEYMOUR PANTHER arcs above in incuse lettering, flanked by two raised dots, with the date 2022 appearing in the lower exergue. |

The Seymour Panther derives from a set of heraldic beasts associated with Jane Seymour, third wife of Henry VIII, and entered the popular imagination largely through the Queen's Beasts series that preceded this issue. The panther in heraldic tradition breathes fire and emits sweet perfume — a curious combination meant to signify both ferocity and allure — and its connection to the Seymour family runs through the arms Jane brought to her union with Henry in 1536.
This coin belongs to the Royal Mint's ongoing effort to extend the Queen's Beasts program into collector-grade bullion formats following the success of the original ten-beast sequence completed in 2021.
