| Obverse description | Gothic-style effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Imperial State Crown and an elaborately jewelled dress with an ornate neckline, rendered in the manner of the Victorian Gothic portrait tradition as revived by Jody Clark. The portrait occupies the central field, with the initials 'JC' inscribed at the lower left. The surrounding legend is rendered in Gothic blackletter script and reads 'ELIZABETH DE GRATIA · BRITANNIAR · REG · F · D' with the denomination '100 POUNDS', the issuer 'ALDERNEY', the date '2021', and a royal cypher, all separated by trefoil ornaments within a beaded inner border. The overall design is a conscious homage to William Wyon's celebrated Gothic Crown portrait of Queen Victoria. |

| Reverse description | Central shield of the Royal Arms quartered, based directly on William Dyce's design for the 1847 Gothic Crown, displaying in the first and fourth quarters the three passant guardant lions of England, in the second quarter the lion rampant of Scotland, and in the third quarter the harp of Ireland, with the quarters separated by an ornate cross whose centre bears a roundel inscribed with the Garter motto 'HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE' surrounding a Union Flag. Elaborate Gothic filigree ornamentation fills the spandrels between the quarters, echoing the decorative vocabulary of Victorian Gothic Revival coinage. The shield is surmounted by an imperial crown. The surrounding legend in Gothic blackletter script reads 'TUEATUR UNITA DEUS' above and 'ANNO DOM MDCCCXLVII' below, all within a beaded inner border with trefoil ornaments. |
