Part of the Royal Mint's ongoing Alice in Wonderland series, this 2021 issue commemorates the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass, published in December 1871. The series has drawn consistent collector demand, partly because the underlying copyright — long expired — allows the Royal Mint to license imagery freely without the royalty complications that encumber many modern commemorative programs.
