| Beschrijving keerzijde | Dynamic high-relief depiction of Saint George, clad in classical armour and a billowing cloak, mounted on a rearing warhorse and driving his lance downward into a vanquished dragon coiled beneath the horse's hooves. The central composition is framed by a beaded inner circle, outside which the Latin motto TALI DICATA SIGNO MENS FLVCTVARI NEQVIT arcs around the field. The outer border carries a repeated bullion inscription reading 1OZ · FINE GOLD · 999.9 · 2026, interspersed with a Tudor rose privy mark, and the engraver's initials SD appear in the field. The overall design draws on the long Pistrucci tradition of the St George reverse while employing a bold contemporary sculptural style. |
