The Queen's Beasts series concluded under Elizabeth II, but the Royal Mint has continued mining the heraldic programme for new releases under Charles III — a decision that is commercially sensible if historically awkward, given that the Beasts were specifically tied to the Queen's 1953 coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
