Obverse description At left, a vignette of Hibernia as a classical female figure in bust form, rendered in intaglio against fine guilloche underprint. At right, a standing figure of Hibernia holding a harp, with the motto cartouche 'BONA FIDES REPUBLICA STABILITAS' in the lower right corner. The denomination 'ONE HUNDRED pounds STERLING' is printed in large lettering at centre, with 'BELFAST DONEGALL PLACE' below, and a decorative frieze of repeated female heads running across the upper portion of the note.
