The "De La Salle" designation refers to the commemorative overprint series the BSP issued to mark the centennial of De La Salle University in Manila — a Catholic institution founded by the Brothers of the Christian Schools in 1911. These are standard circulation-type 100 Piso notes with an added commemorative marking, not a separate issue with distinct security features or paper stock.
Printed entirely in-house at the BSP's Security Plant Complex in Quezon City, one of the few central banks in Southeast Asia to maintain full domestic banknote production capability.
